Suzuki VZ 1600 Marauder: the first real-Kawa Suz
The 1600 Marauder sing the motto: United we stand. Indeed, this bike is the first result of the road link between Suzuki and Kawasaki. For this custom Suzuki badge is manufactured by Kawasaki. Apart from some differences, we can say without embarrassment that it is a clone, that of Mean Streak 1600.
What are the differences? Not much really. The rear wing is similar to the VZ800 and generally only the front headlight and rear fender are different from the twin Kawasaki. That said, do not spoil his pleasure. It is a long-style cruiser with high performance endless wheelbase (1705 mm)! This imposes a dragster look low seat height and handlebars. In addition, the position of controls is designed to promote the conduct cool and comfortable. The engine casing painted black and polished cylinder fins provide a little more general look of the bike. Similarly, the recovery of air housing with distinctive chrome surface treatment is consistent with the billet finned cylinder.
Transmission shaft
Promoting large torque, the engine is a V-Twin cylinder 1522 cc liquid-cooled. The 8-valve devices are playing catch-up water for a silent command. This also avoids periodic adjustments. In addition, the design of the combustion chamber is compact with large intake valves 37 mm and exhaust valves of 33 mm which enhances torque at low speed and add a little to the mechanical efficiency. The electronic injection system receives large body butterfly valve (40 mm) deep with a response to the acceleration and lower emissions. Economic ally, the ignition spark digital dual spark provides strong and steady guarantee of greater persistence, and maintenance intervals longer. To reduce the vibration of the engine, driven by pinion balancer uses a simple crank-pin crankshaft. Side cooling, high-capacity radiator is working together with fan ordered electronically. Transmission, finally, is 5-close with hydraulic clutch and drive shaft low maintenance.
Deep bass
The exhaust system is mounted on the right side with pipes inside large diameter. This configuration allows to emit a low tone and provides high torque at low revs. The steel frame of high tensile double cradle type swingarm uses a gusset with. The front fork is inverted cartridge with inner tubes of 43 mm while the rear suspension is a double shock with rebound damping and preload adjustable pneumatically. The brakes, finally, are big with 6-piston calipers in the front. The dual front discs have a diameter of 320 mm, rear single disc 300 mm with twin-piston caliper was sufficient.
